También hay rivalidad entre Katy Perry y Taylor Swift, que compiten entre ellas por partida doble en las categorías de “Mejor Artista Femenina” y “Mejor Look”. Las reinas del hip-hop, Nicki Minaj e Iggy Azalea también se verán las caras en dos categorías:“Mejor Artista Hip-Hop” y “Mejor Look”.
Katy Perry es la más nominada (siete categorías), seguida de Ariana Grande, que aspira a seis premios. Pharrell Williams y 5 Seconds of Summer tienen cinco nominaciones. One Direction, Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea, Eminem, Sam Smith yKiesza cuentan con cuatro nominaciones cada uno.
Las votaciones ya están abiertas en la web en todas las categorías, incluyendo la de"Mejor Artista Español", en la que el grupo Izal se ha convertido en el quinto nominado, elegido por los fans. Se une así a Enrique Iglesias, Leiva, Sweet California y Vinila Von Bismark para hacerse con el título de "Mejor Artista Español". Las votaciones se cierran el 8 de noviembre a las 23:59h CET.
